Also got to see MJ Lenderman this month at some random bar in harrisburg. my uncle took zach and i and we played pool & watched from pretty far back. still an awesome show and part of my slow collection of wednesday members. OMG and then it was chicago time. well normal illinois time. the national conference for RHA this year was in the windy city and we had a blast. i was able to explore some of their little college town and brought home some cool records. also got to talk with a few locals since i was desperate to know what kept someone in a place like that. i learned so much through a woman at the post office and the man that ran that record shop. they both had been there forever but actually really enjoyed it. of course i am obssesed with my state but there are plenty of peope who feel the same way about theirs. the 'towns built for getting out' narrative is WRONG, sometimes. anyways here's the squad at the final closing ceremony. it was actually so sad and dramatic saying goodbye to chi in the airport. i miss them so much already. but once we left normal we were able to stop in chicago for a whole two hours. while waiting for our deep dish pizza (mine with no cheese) i walked around and visited their brandy melville. then the holy grail of chicago, the thing i had been waiting for since we got there, the magical bean stood in front of us so shiningly.

anyways SAMIA!!!! it's always so rewarding to go see an artist you've been listening to for a while. i did accidentally record with flash but like c'est la vie.
