march!

happy spring freakin break. we begin our month by waking up in beautiful
here's how i'm going to organize this since there's so much. below you will find horizontal photos followed by what we did the whole week and after that you will learn how i felt about all of it followed by vertical photos. you can fill in the rest i think. cool? awesome.

the trip began in adjuntas, my sweet home, we arrived very early so once we settled in we immediately took a nap. then the day actually began by meeting my abuelos' pets. i only have their three-legged cat but there was also two dogs. we walked around their neighborhood a little bit and then got in the car and took my abuelo to visit his brother! he's the cutest man ever and he made us delicious coffee. so good that we bought the same beans and have been making it the same way as him since. he also has a dog named el tigre that was a little scary but really fun to play with. it was so effing hot though so we came back home and had some dinner and called it a night. the next day we were up and off to a beach in arecibo, it was so windy and the sand was hurting but it was still magical and we stopped for pinchos on the way home. that evening ended with a walk around the neighborhood again and some reading before and after dinner. we also watched some yellowjackets but the connection isn't great which is cool during the day but a little boring at night so we just caught up on so much sleep. that worked out nicely because we were up early the next day and had to say goodbye to my sweet grandparents and head to san juan. we stayed for only a few hours and then got back in the car and headed to our next accommodation which was a yurt. yes like a giant tent. the place was run by hippies and cats and it was wonderful. and just like that the last day began. we started with some quick hikes in el yunque, lunch at gaby's burgers, then headed to fajardo to get on a catamaran to vieques to snorkel and swim. then it was a quick change and to the airport for our flight home! ok sorry for the casual chain there i just wanted to give you the intinerary. pictures are in chronological order but do you even care? the next part is more fun.

wow oh wow was this an amazing trip. i love going to see my grandparents and back to the island as much as possible but this was so extra special since i haven't been since last spring break and especially because i got to take zach with. there's a lot to puerto rico that is difficult to just explain without showing so there were a ton of cool moments i got to share and also experience with zach + my family. one huge thing is that night time starts pretty early for them since there are no huge street lights or even much development around to keep things bright. this also means their technology looks a little different. from the water tank shower to my grandma's nintendo ds there are tons of quirks but it is what makes these vacations so cool. i also love knowing my way around, exploring san juan is just going to my favorite stores but zach and i did stumble upon a fun place called the red monkey or la roja mona. i have never drank in puerto rico and let's just say that will not be the case in the future. we paid like 30 dollars for some delicious food and the strongest drinks ever. we also revisted a favorite restaurant called gaby's burgers. we went back when they first opened and it's still just as great. coincidentally all three times we've been it has downpoured and the lights got shut off for a second. oh and the last place we stayed was so fun, it was like glamping kinda, the shower was outside, there were a few coqui inside that we didn't bother taking outside and we sat by the firepit just taking in the area. we had played some fun games in the car all week and had a lot of funny rounds that last night. besides getting scolded in the airport because zach and i packed our suitcase very poorly and very heavy it was the most perfect trip ever.

ohhh and of course stella and seb get their own slides too! my abuela is a little trickster and started posing them all around and we kept it up all week

BUT GUYS THAT WAS JUST ONE WEEK OF MARCH!!!! here's the rest YAYYAAYYA

here's us suprising lucas by picking him up from gettysburg. we got chick fil a on the way home and then i knocked out for the rest.

back to jenkintown man. it was freezing cold when we got back but look at that tan ayeee.

i only ordered this it was so awesome #senorsalsa

ok yay back to school bye spring break hello structure and stress once again. and yellowjackets duh

there were some randomly sunny days but that did not really help the mid semester blues but what did help was an awesome laser tag game. we did a glow tournament for rha and we got this awesome student to join us and we played really fun music because it was a friday night event and we had pretty low attendance #epic but then i ran off and found zach and went out with some friends. our first stop was a regular party but the next was a blackout or backout theme so i put on one of zach's shirt and did as i was told. oh and remember how i'm legally bound to see rha as much as possible. don't worry i found them there too.

happy st. patricks day btw!! i celebrated by wearing green of course and staying in the library all day and then getting one (1) drink at a crowded maxis. now my disdain for the campus bar slowly turns into a sweet appreciation and you can track it easily in these blogs. so take note of this day.

the following day was insanely packed and i was so severely stressed about this rha event that was actually pretty cute but i had to go on a intermission walk just to calm down and then zach ended up just sitting with me the whole event and i barely worked which was nice #indoorrollerskating #jobsecurity #overreaction

the end of this month included us making dinner and hosting merrick and oj at our place before we went out together. with a quick morning trip to jenkintown to see koda and one night in reading! then somehow the longest month was over. it was getting sunnier and i wouldn't really be able to tell you much else because i was in the library every second

where's waldo + super sweet set by our friend mika at a cafe!! she played 1950 which is one of my mom's favorites + innocence mission like wow #gomika that night i played rummikub with zach's roommates and ate a ton of hi chew

so i'm not sure how this was born but kai + owen + zach and i decided to do a crazy city tour and started in fishtown at el bar where we had many city wides, then walked our way to milkshakes at joe's steaks while waiting for the bus down to queen village where we dined at lucky's last chance. we concluded the night with a walk through south philly and then to bob & barbara's and then a subway home. now the next morning we went grocery shopping together but let me tell you the city took something besides our money that night. we were ghosts in those aisles man. but hey awesome night.

here is zach explaining his progress on his senior design project that is super cool but this is my blog if you can believe it so i'm not going to get into it rn. anyways this random wednesday evening we went out with maddy for like 5 minutes and then it was kinda a flop so we went back to maxi's but we did ride indego bikes around for a while.

what a crazy month amiright! well that's all for now byeee
