february!
hello and welcome to the best month of the year, jk that's december, but this one is very close because of my favorite holiday, VALENTINE'S DAY!!! so yes the love month began with the usual winter semester stress and rha events but we spent the first weekend with kai and owen exploring fishtown in leui of the scrapped barcrawl we had planned for zach's birthday that his appendix ruined. so we started our winter stroll and approached a packed loco pez shivering and seeking shelter. we had planned to meet up with aden and aly there but their tardiness and our eagerness left us waiting outside for too long. so you now understand why our boredom led us to another haven, one called starboard side tavern. this place was an incredibly empty and from the moment we stepped in we were bombarded with men begging zach and owen to join their super bowl betting board. it was kinda a nightmare kinda perfect. woman, presumably the owner, barkeep was curt but we were in her home so i understand. anyways the night finally resumed when we were seated at loco pez and spent some hours getting drunk and speaking over one another. the cold walk home made us pretty interested in making frequent stops so we found some crazy bar called LMNO that was not our speed and took lots of money from us. once we made it back to temple, and stopped at old nelson as if it was a bar, we finally made it into zach's also sort of cold apartment and spent the rest of the night giggling in his bedroom and hanging with his roommates.
the next morning i was on a train and then in a car and then back home, a brief stint but a fun one indeed. of course i had to see my sweet pickle and then i filled the day with some roller skating and securing some valentine's day goodies. this year i kept things simple because my stress this month was through the roof with school and things. this is evident in how late i am on uploading this blog. that's honestly how the every day of the month felt except for valentine's day. i was awaiting a job decision and completely insecure with my housing arrangments for next year and i was slighly behind on classes because of last month's delays. so anyways it got better but the week ahead was full of only one highlight. we woke up early and i walked zach to class and grabbed some coffee on the way, but that wasn't the only simple blessing of the morning. low and behold by building apparently orders the philadelphia inquirer and i must have been such an early worm it was like i had ordered it to my door, it sat so pretty outside so i took it in and read it with my coffee in my robe. a sunday morning on a tuesday nightmare.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
so the special day started early since somehow zach always has something going on february 14th, this year it was his acapella competetion #pitchperfect. he took me to el vez (my favorite) on friday night and we had a lovely time. the next morning we had an amazing breakfast before i sent him on his way to drexel and took the rest of the evening to watch rom coms and craft. my other valentine's date this year was destinie, she accompanied me to the competition and helped decorate his teammates valentine's. it was actually marvelous, there were so many talented stars and though they didn't place it was a way better way to spend my valentine's day than i expected! to bookend an already amazing weekend, after band practice, we all went out for drinks at another favorite of mine, tattooed mom! it was craft night so we decorated some really sweet artwork pictured above, hey maybe future album art? anwyays if you are interested in anything band you can find that stuff here now. the very last activity was later in the week but my gift/request was a cookie night and some self care so that's also up there. so happy valentine's day, i hope you held your special ones close that day too and i love all of you!!
the rest of february was handling stress, and making dinner each night still. the snow did not quit and i was with rha for like 16 consecutive days no breaks. we did host a cute roommate mixer that the heart picture is from but we got yelled at for pretty long after so not sure why i'm smiling. there was a sweet party hosted by nora and her roommates that was mardi supreme themed as in marty supreme x mardi gras. but don't worry i went with rha members so i didn't break any streaks!
ooh actually two fun rha things did happen this month, one was a 76ers game (don't let the photo decieve you, we were in the nosebleeds for the actual game) and that aforementioned job thing that was stressing me out was put to an end! i got a new job omg guys, i am done with rha forever soon, and i will be an RA! UHRL for life i guess. but this set the last rha events up to be way more enjoyable since i had a more secure job lined up.

visited the community snowpeople, i think nora's is behind us 
kinda starting living in the tech center, it's so fun to code with two monitors. 
and just like that it was the last friday of the month and spring break was here. we began with a mom meetup #whentwoqueensgettogethertomaximizetheirjointslay
oh and at some point we climbed a tree 
ended the last weekend of february with a quick hang with kai + owen and grabbed breakfast with my friends chuck & sylvia in the am. we had a splendid time saying goodbye as we prepared for next month's adventures...
