december 2025!

i am writing this on the first day of 2026 which is crazy but i am so thankful for this epic year of awesome memories and people and december was such a strong note to end on. anyways thanks for all the fun 2025

my favorite month of the year! happy december

of course this month is usually tumultuous because of finals but i was actually very on track this semester and got all A's! the other factor that usually makes the first few weeks difficult is midnight breakfast, rha's biggest event. this is my third mb but it is always stressful and always during finals but i would say it was pretty successful! if any of you use instagram, we always do interviews and there is an uploaded compilation that destinie made of them. speaking of destinie there she is with a sword that some student made and let us take pictures with at tabling. also she took that photo of me at a meeting and i wanted to show you all my new rainboots.

ok now i am finally twenty-one!! the night before zach surprised me after our sushi dinner at our spot :) with ice skating on the river with billy, kai, & owen! i, like always, was in my head about my birthday and requested a very relaxed day and after having my birthday cry driving home while looking over the schuylkill river and listening to 102.9 we arrived home for a small break from finals week. Once we arrived back home we sang the first of three happy birthdays and my mom gave me some of the most thoughtful gifts i could ever imagine. It is so awesome having a twin for a mother like she knows my exact taste so well. Some highlights were a gigantic book of frank lloyd wright's architecture, some 1960's nightgowns, lots of candles, a gorgeous shadowbox filled with my baby toys and papers, and then finally she somehow held on to the newspaper from the day i was born. i also included a picture of a thrift haul from the end of november that was techincally a birthday gift but mostly because i have no pictures of what she gave me right now. so anyways after lots of crying we were off to bed and the next day consisted of aesthetically pleasing yet bad-tasting birthday pancakes & nectar house.

zach's brother's bday celebration in three words was: ai, christmas, and uncle grinc. oh and maybe sugar stick. though i have heard new jersey is a real place i am not convinced. we travelled to a pop up christmas extravaganza restaurant that connected to an indoor las vegas style mini town and full blown arcade. it was epic i got a sugar high at lunch and rode it out all evening. then we went to a farm that does an insane christmas light show. i honestly don't know how to describe any of these things accurately but just know it was crazy.

in the evening my parents took me out for my first drink which was a little gross but also very fun after a while. we went to sly fox and the bartender let us try lots of things and made me a pineapple upside down cake shot and i got #drunk. then since owen's birthday is the day after mine we met up and went out to third and spruce after i was already pretty toasted but that atmosphere just made everything so scary. i had a conversation with someone i went to high school with and i couldn't recognize her for the first few minutes. anyways we weren't home for long because then it was time to go to zachs and celebrate his brother's birthday. everyone is a sagittarius i guess.

after we got home, cailyn and shane took us to human robot and we had so many fun drinks and then had the most magical walk home that included a very intense snowball fight

see below, a girl in her natural habitat - zach and i attempted the adamstown run and made it through one (1) store before quitting. girl in space - zach's family took us to astra lumina which is some crazy light show christmas thing in the cold cold woods but also awesome. girl dressing strangely for christmas - yearly tradition.

okay scroll time: pilar, kai, billy, and i had another wonderful sleepover in haddonfield and made so many christmas cookies. then back to jenkintown hanging with lila. cute ornament. almost all of the calico critters i got for christmas. finally got to meet lydia's dog, piper, who is the craziest pet i've ever met. also got a really sweet planner as i do every december when the barnes and noble sale begins.

okay so that's the end of december. here are the gifts zach and i got for each other. if it wasn't so obvious already i love that boy so much but it is officially gift giving season (my birthday, christmas, our anniversary, zach's birthday, and valentine's day all in a few weeks) and it is so fufilling to have such crafty mutual commitment. anyways his brother lucas made that vase from zach's design and i made a collage calendar amongst some other things for each other. happy december, merry christmas, and see you guys next year!
